t CumLaude, we always strive to offer the best educational experiences to our students. With this goal in mind, part of our team traveled to Copenhagen from July 2nd to 4th to get firsthand knowledge of this vibrant Scandinavian city and its accommodations. The objective was clear: to have a well-informed opinion so that we can recommend this destination to our clients with complete confidence.

First Day: A Taste of Copenhagen’s Cultural Richness

Our first day in Copenhagen began with an engaging free tour that took us to some of the city’s most iconic spots. We started our route at the City Hall, continuing with the history of Bishop Absalon at Biskop Absalon. From there, we walked through Nytorv and admired the majesty of Christiansborg Palace. Other stops included Amalienborg, the residence of the Danish royal family, and the historic street Magstræde.

We couldn’t miss visiting the Royal Danish Theatre and the popular King’s New Square. Our route also took us to the bustling City Hall Square and the historic Gammel Strand. Among other gems, we discovered the magnificent Frederik’s Church, the large Magasin du Nord shopping center, and the picturesque Nyhavn canal. To conclude the morning, we explored contemporary art at the Nikolaj, Copenhagen Contemporary Art Center, and strolled through Medieval Copenhagen.

In the afternoon, we visited the iconic Kastellet and the famous Little Mermaid, followed by a harbor cruise that offered spectacular views of places like The Opera House, Amalienborg Palace, The Old Stock Exchange, Christianshavn, Our Saviour’s Church, Sixtus Battery, The Black Diamond, BLOX, and much more.

Second Day: Immersion in Danish Culture and Innovation

On the second day, we visited the historic Carlsberg Brewery, where we learned about the beer-making process and the history of this Danish icon. Next, we climbed to the Christiansborg observation deck to enjoy a panoramic view of the entire city, an experience we will definitely recommend to our students.

Our visit to the Black Diamond, an impressive modern extension of the Royal Library, was another highlight. In the afternoon, we explored the Christiania neighborhood, known for its autonomous community and free spirit, a visit that will undoubtedly inspire our students with its originality and community spirit.
